Yemane and his brother Noah are incredible!! I am a nurse at Legacy Emanuel in Portland and can say with full confidence that this is where you want your family member to live! My Dad had a terrible accident and it took him 6 months to walk again. We knew we couldn't have him living alone anymore with his new Parkinson diagnosis and so we started the hunt for an adult care home. Thank God our first home visit didn't work out, because then came Yemane. His home (I say HOME and not house) is beautiful with a beautiful deck and back yard and everything is ALWAYS spotless. But the best part are the people. Yemane, Noah, Tcharna and Lisa "the bath goddess" are all wonderful, loving people. I'm always welcomed with big smiles and on occasion, when I've needed it most, a delicious coffee. I've been invited over for holidays, birthdays to share a meal with the other residents, like a real family home. My Dad received a sweater for Christmas I know he loves! My Dad is not the easiest Resident to have BY FAR and Yemane has been the perfect amount of firm and gentle with him. Giving him space for his tantrums, making rules clear but continually making efforts to build their relationship and trust. Previously being a hospice nurse and seeing a variety of care homes across the county, I always knew how lucky we were to find Yemane and his beautiful oasis. I know my Dad trusts the staff and is thankful to be living there. And I have finally been able to relinquish control and worry over my Dad's care and health, trusting fully that Yemane will take good care of him. A big thanks to Yemane and Noah, thank you for welcoming us into your family 🙏
